What was once the hub of growing salary values, twinned with London, has recently seen a small dip across business administration roles. With an average drop of -0.8% potentially the ever increasing bubble in the south east has finally begun to burst. Not a dramatic drop but an end to the trend of year on year growth. London in comparison maintains a stable 1.7% growth, but is now in scope of the West Midlands who stake an average 4.5% uplift.
With the effects of the pandemic ranging from mental health concerns to physical office operational logistics; the HR team has been under more pressure since 2020. With more value being placed than ever before on office layout, culture, working conditions and safety. Key to these decisions are these roles and why potentially the salaries are now reflecting the demand with an average 2.6% increase across the UK. Some areas such as the North West reflect higher percentiles of 4.5% up on 2020. Only Yorkshire and the Humber see minimal increases of 0.1%.
2021 has seen a phenomenal growth in the offered salaries of marketing professionals. Marketing assistant roles vary from an expected 1.5% increase to over 17%. Across all marketing roles in the UK we see an average 4.6% increase on 2020 figures. What is quite surprising, is despite overall low if not negative figures across most roles for Ireland, Marketing sees a 7% increase which is inline with London. The lowest figures sit in the North East, only a 1.2% growth in 2021.
